While we have had some really excellent times, we have also had some very dark, hard times while building Minx out of nothing more than an idea.  The Minx symbol was created to help keep the heart and soul from getting lost in this crazy journey.

In the center of the symbol is a wheel of fortune, which is the key to happiness and bliss.  The rim of the wheel represents elements such as fame, wealth, health, work, social status and play.  If you are attached to the rim of the wheel of fortune, you are either going down or else on the bottom and coming up.  But, if you are at the hub, you are at the same place all the time, centered and balanced.  Staying centered equals happiness, which protects the heart and soul from getting lost.

The wheel of fortune is held in the center of the circle by two phoenixes which represent us.   They are a reminder that no matter what happens we will always “be.”  And, what may seem like a total fucking disaster is just us being reborn into something way cooler then we could have ever imagined.

The circle is a mandala, with a bit of mojo magic. Mythologist Joseph Campbell says of circles, “When a magician wants to work magic he puts a circle around himself and it is within this bounded circle that powers can be brought into play that are lost outside the circle.”

When the game of life is challenging us we use the Minx symbol to remind us that ultimately it is all a game…  and the purpose of games are to have FUN!!!
